apple cider vinegar is hot lately. it's used in lots of "cleanse" diets, and the "clean food" movement embraces it whole heartedly. don't get me started on "clean" food.
i decided to try it for a couple reasons. first, decker and i decided we aren't eating sugar anymore. decker is great at it. i need something sweet to drink that isn't horrible for me, and regular juice gets boring. second, i have a ton of stomach problems. i am willing to try anything to make it stop. those are my personal reasons...but there are lots of other benefits:
cures hiccups
prevents indigestion
clears sinuses, helps get rid of colds faster
clears up acne/skin problems
soothes sore throats
helps joint pain
in addition to these quick fixes, ACV has shown promise in treating diabetes, high cholesterol, bowel irregularity, and relieving joint pain.
i have a whole thing of Bragg's and decided it was finally time to try it out. all i did was mix 2 tbsp. of Bragg's ACV with approximately 6-8 oz pure apple juice and 1/2 a tsp of raw honey. it smells pretty strong but it tastes exactly like apple kombucha, or hard apple cider! it's really tasty. this is my first time trying it and i will definitely be drinking it regularly, for the taste if anything.
